Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions will only be issued at the doctor’s discretion and normally for patients on long term treatment.
Requests for prescriptions can be made in writing using the re-order slip. This can be handed in to reception, posted to us or faxed on 01422 386399. If you would like your prescription returned by post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
If you prefer, you can order your prescriptions via our Online Services page.
Travelling Abroad
Please ensure you order your medication in good time when travelling abroad. A maximum of three months medication can only be supplied.
Should you be out of the country for more than three months, you will automatically be removed from the GP list and you will need to re-register with a GP on your return. This ruling is in accordance with the NHS contract.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow at least 24hours/1 working day for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
